Check this article out from Eric Cressey.  This is a good reminder (with some research to back it up) that there are very few "bad" exercises but rather, bad application of exercises.  Training on unstable surfaces has a time and a place but thought should be put into the overall training plan and individual needs of each and every client.  Performing circus tricks in a gym with a trainer that just got back from some seminar may be great to impress your friends at a party but if you need to train for Strength and Power (and we all do) get on something stable and move some weight in an intelligent manner, TRAIN don't just workout.  Bosu Ball:  The Good The Bad and The Ugly
